『総曲輪のバーとラウンジ』が BIG SEE Interior Design Award 2026を受賞

BIG SEE Interior Design Award 2026 において、オニヅカセッケイブが設計を担当した「総曲輪のバーとラウンジ」が受賞しました。

BIG SEE Awardsは、2018年に東南ヨーロッパ地域の創造的な可能性を探る取り組みとして始まり、
現在では建築やインテリア、プロダクトデザインなどを対象とした国際的なデザインアワードとして展開されています。
また、単なる賞にとどまらず、設計やデザインを通じた文化的・ビジネス的な交流を促すプラットフォームとしての側面も持っています。

BIG SEEは、ヨーロッパを拠点とする設計文化の中で、自分たちの設計がどのように受け取られるかを確認することができる機会の一つだと考えています。
FRAME Awardsのようなグローバルな評価軸とも重なりながら、空間の成立性や背景にある考え方がどのように評価されるのかを捉える手がかりとして、本プロジェクトを応募しました。

このような評価をいただけたことを大変嬉しく思います。関係者の皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。

なお、本プロジェクトは Hospitality カテゴリーにおいて Grand Prix にもノミネートされており、その結果は2026年5月にスロベニアで開催される BIG SEE Festival にて発表されます。

Our project “Bar and Lounge at Sōgawa”, designed by Onizuka-Sekkeibu, has been awarded the BIG SEE Interior Design Award 2026.

Launched in 2018 to explore the creative potential of Southeast Europe, the BIG SEE Awards have grown into an international platform recognizing achievements across architecture,
interior, and product design. Beyond the award itself, BIG SEE functions as a platform for cultural and professional exchange through design.

We approached BIG SEE as an opportunity to understand how our design would be received within a design culture rooted in Europe.
While it shares common ground with global evaluation frameworks such as the FRAME Awards, we submitted this project as a way to reflect on how the spatial integrity of the work,
together with the ideas and context behind it, would be perceived.

We are deeply honored by this recognition and sincerely grateful to everyone involved in the project.

The project has also been nominated for the Grand Prix in the Hospitality category, with the final result to be announced at the BIG SEE Festival in Slovenia in May 2026.
